The big shopping weekend before Christmas the Dutch CCC took to the streets, specifically one street -- Amsterdam's busy Kalverstraat -- to ask shoppers to participate in the campaign's Christmas action. Consumers were asked to choose a company (their favorite, least favorite, or one that they were curious about) and send them a Christmas card request for more information on what that company is doing to improve labor conditions in the garment industry. Knowing that shoppers would be focused on their last minute holiday purchases, activists donned angel costumes to get their attention. And it seemed to work!
