All workers have rights. With this Pocket Guide, Women Working
Worldwide aims to help people to understand what workers'
rights are and how we can all protect ourselves against abuse.
All those who work have rights, fundamental human rights
laid down by the United Nations. The problem is how to claim
those rights.
The first step is to know our rights. The second step is
to find ways of struggling for them. This has never been more
important. In the global economy of today, countries and companies
compete for markets. They play workers in one place off workers
in another, and drive down the conditions for all workers.
Many governments and companies ignore their duty to respect
the rights of workers.
WWW hopes that you can use this booklet in your daily lives
to help you claim your rights.
