Description: Insight into how bonded system traps young boys in carpet industry in India. Unscrupulous carpet traders pay pittance (4 pounds or 200 rupees) to poor parents in Bihar (where crops are failing and land is poor) to take away their sons for ten years and trick them into believing that they'll benefit from their sons' wages. But in reality the money paid to the parents is a loan, which they must pay back at high interest rates.
